I love coffee, and as much as I do love to make coffee on the boat, I always love finding coffee gems on the Gulf Islands. Depending on where you are, there’s always a place to find coffee! Here are my top 5 places to get a coffee when out on the boat in the Gulf Islands.

Slow Coast Coffee – Pender Island
Slow Coast Coffee at the end of Bedwell Harbour is a fantastic coffee shop. While there may not be a dock, this coffee shop is totally accessible via your dinghy, just put it on the beach/anchor it and just a short walk and you’re there!

Fernwood Road Cafe – Salt Spring Island
Fernwood Road Cafe on your way to Wallace Island, make a quick little stop at the public dock and walk up the ramp and across the road to the Fernwood Road Cafe. It’s a lovely little coffee shop, and while you’re there pick up a pizza for dinner!

Francis Bread – Salt Spring Island
Francis Bread may have bread in their name, but they are a lovely stop for coffee and a baked treat. From either Long Harbour or Ganges Harbour, this coffee shop is totally walkable! While you’re there, pick up some lovely bread!

Rock Salt Restaurant and Cafe – Salt Spring Island
Rock Salt both a coffee shop and a restaurant, treat yourself to a nice coffee and pickup takeout while you’re there.

Sturdies Bay Bakery – Galiano Island
Sturdies Bay Bakery is a great place to stop for a caffeine hit and a tasty baked good if you happen to be in the area.
