Every year there’s always some kind of addition to the boat, tweaking and improving what I already had, there’s always some kind of boat gear that improves life on the water!
Artic Zone Cooler Bag
My cooler bag died years ago and I purchased a more oval insulated picnic fabric bag, but it never filled the void of my old bag. The Artic Zone is like my old one but only better. It’s huge, is better insulated, and get this, the handles switch so you can transport a pizza! I picked up a pizza the other week on route to the boat and tried it out, when I got to the boat and opened the zipper steam came out. Whether transporting food to and from the boat, or going ashore for day adventures I love this bag!
Icebreaker Ice Cube Tray
I am in love with my new Icebreaker ice cube tray. Over the years we’ve tried various ways to make ice, we tried the trendy single ice cube balls, the boat ice cube tray that can go inside or outside against the freezer, and an electric ice cube maker. All options have been less than ideal, either taking up too much space or a hassle to get the ice out. I stumbled onto this browsing online and thought it was worth a try. It is fantastic! It’s leak proof and it works great. My only recommendation is to dump all the ice into a bag once you’ve broken it up. Love this.
Popup UV Shark Tent
A popup UV tent for safe secure sleeping on the boat, with the option for easy transport to shore. Boating with a toddler changes the boat gear you have on board. Popup tents are a great safe space to put a little one to contain them while sleeping, and for docking. This tent is tight, but it fits in our v-berth, keeping the nursery to one cabin.
UPF Rashguard Shirt
A UPF 50+ quick dry shirt for your adventurous land hikes or for sailing in the sun, a great option on the boat.
