Anchored in Squirrel and don’t feel like cooking, get in the tender and go out for dinner! Who knew you could go for dinner in Desolation Sound. There is a great little restaurant just beside the Squirrel Cove General Store, called The Cove Restaurant. If you don’t already know, the Squirrel Cove General Store has a small dock you can tie a tender up to so you don’t even need to get your feet wet on the beach.
Just with any restaurant I’m sure they may have the odd bad day in the kitchen, but on average the reviews of this restaurant are excellent. Yes, sometimes ones quality standard can drop a little when you leave the city and want to dine out, but that’s not the case with this restaurant.
We had a fantastic dinner there one night and would go back in a second if I was cruising in the area. I highly recommend this restaurant stop if you want a break in the galley!
